Sustainable Landscaping Online Course Now Live!

This course will act as a primer for those interested in designing beyond sustainable residential landscapes and plant systems that are beneficial to the natural world. Through an introduction to the practices and principles of ecological design, learners will come to understand how to analyze a piece of land prior to designing it, and then move through the step-by-step process of bringing a project to realization. The course will culminate in students creating their own design based on what was learned. There will be bi-weekly online meetings for reflection and Q&A, and the course will be released in weekly segments, similar to an academic level course. There will be lectures and demonstrations, content to review and read, and assignments each week that will lead a student toward completion of the final project, which will be drafting (digitally or physically) a residential landscape design.
