Love Your Block Grant Award
We helped a friend and valued community member brainstorm ideas for an overgrown vacant lot next to her house. Our design became part of a fully funded grant (one of eleven) awarded through Albany’s Love Your Block program. Our design will come to fruition as we transform the lot into an ecological oasis for wildlife in the city, while helping to prevent soil erosion and excessive water runoff through building a retaining wall and a small pond. We will be sharing this transformation along with other work being done on the block through the grant when work begins.
